HC Records is proud to present its ninth vinyl release: Universos Infinitos, by a national electronic hero such as Dark Vektor.
Universos Infinitos is the first song published in the compilations of La Resistencia published during 2020 and 2021 in order to commemorate the XV anniversary of Hypnotica Colectiva that sees the light in an individual EP where, in addition, we find a total of six original songs and three remixes.
In the physical part of the release, on side A, we have the original version of Universos Infinitos and two remixes by Kaxtelian and The Lost Boys, respectively.
The original track is an emotional, evocative and, why not, melancholic electro track to dance and sing with your fist held high. Its multiple bass and synth lines, its refined percussions and, above all, its lyrics in Spanish move us to those intimate moments in which, after a few moments of desolation, we realize that only we can reverse or improve our situation.
Next track is the Kaxtelian remix, Domingo Dark Vinyl’s new alter ego, an excellent DJ and producer of the collective. Here Kaxtelian offers us a dancing cocktail shaker mixing cosmic music, italo, techno and breaks, giving a result as subtle and eclectic as his dj mixes.
After that, we find the remix by The Lost Boys, the most electronic mask of our Rafa Raszia, which gives us an overwhelmingly sonic version where a marked 4x4 cadence, electric percussions and spatial synths converge to produce an elegant tune with a sound as sober as forceful.
On the B side, first of all, we find Hasta Que El Cuerpo Aguante, an impressive, thug and great statement: to fight for what one believes in until the very last breath. This time the vocoders in Spanish are joined by powerful bass lines and devastating rhythmic sequences along with subtle hints of Ghetto and Miami Bass that will make us become the true kings of the neighbourhood.
Moving on to the B-side, we find No Disco, a track with which we are invited to dress in our best skinny pants and leather jacket to move to those dance floors where electrotechno or electroclash with an italo aftertaste were the predominant sound. Basses and arpeggiated synths with an epic and trance touch are perfectly combined with great lyrics in Catalan.
Finally, with B_ass State of Mind we return to that electro of fat basses and deep broken rhythms, accompanied by robotic vocoders and synths from outer space, which make us travel the aerospace line aboard the Challenger shuttle from Detroit to Miami to land in our destination with our hip broken, without thereby there is an obstacle to reapply the procedure from the first groove of this vinyl.
As a culmination, in the digital bonuses we find two other original tracks. In the first place, 7 Dimensions, follows in the tail of B_ass State of Mind in terms of the musical component but proposes us not a trip to outer space, but a trip to our interior in which all our neuroreceptors are activated before the Hertzian waves and the broken dance to which it invites us. Later, Darkness Around Me returns us to the closet for our dark leather garments in order to head to the dance floor and wear our Air Max down to the rhythm of subtle arpeggiated lines and the sweet and sensual voice of Marinetta. Finally, Abiz Sonko gives us his vision of Universos Infinitos combining elements of the original song with arpeggiated basses and strings, providing that electrotechno touch that he likes so much and a clear evocative reminiscence of La Ruta.
In addition, and as usual, the mastering task has been carried out by our beloved Steve Voidloss at his Black Monolith Studios in London; as well as the graphic design and the visual work have been developed by Daniel Requeni, perfectly reflecting the motivation and spirit of this release.
HC Records se enorgullece de presentar su novena referencia en vinilo: “Universos Infinitos”, a cargo de un héroe de la electrónica nacional como lo es Dark Vektor. “Universos Infinitos” es la primera canción aparecida en los recopilatorios de La Resistencia publicados durante 2020 y 2021 con motivo del XV aniversario de Hypnotica Colectiva que ve la luz en un EP individual donde, además, encontramos un total de seis temas originales y tres remezclas.
En la parte física del lanzamiento, en la cara A, encontramos la versión original de Universos Infinitos y dos remezclas a cargo de Kaxtelian y The Lost Boys, respectivamente. El original es un tema de electro emotivo, evocador y, por qué no, melancólico para bailar y cantar con el puño bien en alto. Sus múltiples líneas de bajo y sinte, sus depuradas percusiones y, sobre todo, su letra en castellano nos transportan a esos momentos íntimos en los que, tras unos instantes de desolación, nos damos cuenta de que sólo nosotros podemos revertir o mejorar nuestra situación.
El siguiente track es la remezcla de Kaxtelian, psudónimo tras el cual se encuentra Domingo Dark Vinyl, excelente dj y productor de la casa. Aquí Kaxtelian nos ofrece una coctelera bailonga mezclando música cósmica, techno y breaks, dando un resultado tan sutil y ecléctico como sus mezclas en cabina.
Tras él, nos encontramos con la remezcla de The Lost Boys, la máscara más electrónica de nuestro Rafa Raszia, el cual nos entrega una versión apabullantemente sónica donde confluyen una marcada cadencia 4x4, percusiones eléctricas y sintes elegantemente espaciales para desembocar una elegante tonada con un sonido sobrio a la par que contundente.
Ya en la cara B, en primer lugar, nos encontramos con “Hasta que el cuerpo aguante”, una impresionante macarrada y una gran declaración de intenciones: luchar por lo que uno cree hasta el último aliento. Esta vez los vocoders en castellano se unen a potentes líneas de bajo y secuencias rítmicas devastadoras junto a sutiles destellos ghetto y Miami bass que harán que nos convirtamos en los auténticos reyes del barrio.
Avanzando en la cara B, nos encontramos con “No Disco”, un track con el que se nos invita a vestirnos con nuestros mejores pantalones de pitillo y la chaqueta de cuero para trasladarnos a pistas de baile donde el electrotechno o electroclash era el sonido predominante. Bajos y sintes arpegiados con regusto épico y trancero se combinan a la perfección con una gran letra en catalán. Finalmente, con “B_ass State of Mind” volvemos a ese electro de bajos gordos y ritmos rotos profundos, acompañado de robóticos vocoders y sintes del espacio exterior, que nos hacen recorrer la línea aeroespacial a bordo del transbordador Challenger desde Detroit a Miami para aterrizar con nuestra cadera rota en nuestro destino, sin que eso suponga un impedimento para volver a aplicar el procedimiento desde el primer surco de este disco.
Como colofón, en los bonus digitales nos encontramos con otros dos originales. En primer lugar, “7 Dimensions”, sigue la estela de “B_ass State of Mind” en cuanto al componente musical pero nos propone no un viaje hacia el espacio exterior, sino un viaje hacia nuestro interior en el que todos nuestros neuroreceptores quedan activados ante las ondas hertzianas y el baile roto al que nos invita. Posteriormente, “Darkness Around Me” nos devuelve al armario a por nuestras prendas de oscuro cuero para dirigirnos a la pista de baile y desgastar las suelas de nuestras Air Max a ritmo de sutiles líneas arpegiadas y la dulce y sensual voz de Marinetta. Por último, Abiz Sonko nos entrega su visión de “Universos Infinitos”, conjugando elementos del tema original con bajos y cuerdas arpegiadas aportando ese toque electrotechno que tanto le gusta y una clara reminiscencia evocadora de La Ruta.
Además, y como viene siendo habitual, el trabajo en tareas de mastering ha corrido a cargo de nuestro querido Steve Voidloss en sus Black Monolith Studios de Londres; así como el diseño gráfico y la obra visual han sido desarrollados por Daniel Requeni, reflejando perfectamente la motivación y el espíritu de esta referencia.
