HC Records is pleased to present its ninth digital release with the first installment of the Low Syndicate Series.
Low Syndicate was born in 2015 as an independent division specialising in low frequencies of the Hypnotica Colectiva crew, the Valencian promoter and owner of HC Records.
After 5 years of offering the most mature and exquisite face of bass music through events in different Valencian clubs and its radio show on Bassport FM, Low Syndicate takes a step further by entering the world of music publishing. This EP is the first contact as a prelude to the launch in 2021 of its own label, Low Syndicate Audio.
'Valencia Manifest EP' aims to capture the great talent of this culturally rich city on the Iberian east coast, called Valencia. A pioneer of low frequencies in Spain, and which during the 2000s was considered the Spanish capital of this sound.
The EP compiles 5 tracks from Valencian producers who have been part of the Syndicate events line up, and that represent the diversity of the different styles that are usually heard at their parties, such as Drum & Bass, Jungle, Juke & Halftime.
The legend Mooncat, one of the most veteran and internationally recognised Spanish producers, is in charge of opening the EP with 'Dubstone'. A theme in which he takes his representative hedonistic Jamaican influenced sound to a sober sphere, fusing reggae and dub atmospheres with the powerful sound of the new Rolling generation.
No Human Sound duo, one of the rising talents of the Valencian scene in last decade, invites us on a cosmic journey as well as heartbreaking with 'Subversive'. Breaking the rules in a masterful way, they rhythmically take us from the depths of the Jungle on the first part of the track directly to outer space, through a pure Drum & Bass second drop.
Lowering the BPM to 160 but not the intensity, haling from South Spain, but based in Valencia, Rootless, injects a significant dose of energy with 'Dancefloor'. Strictly Juke sound from the suburbs with a strong influence from Chicago Footwork and Detroit Techno, but with all the essence of the Mediterranean Sea. It will make your feet moving relentlessly.
The techy note of the EP is given by Delah, British roots young producer born in Spain, that previously released tunes under the pseudonym Keos. This combative 'Riot Thing' is full of minimalism and darkness, Techfunk being the main thread for the insurrection.
The EP concludes with the premiere in the production's world of the Syndicate leadership and veteran comrades Finger & Brozak as beat makers, and Sebzero on the mic. 'No Flags' is a 170 BPMs tune that evolves from Halftime heavy rhythms of its first part to a second drop invaded by hard amen breaks, all driven by thick basslines and an explicit revolutionary message.

Low Syndicate nació en 2015 como división independiente especializada en las bajas frecuencias de la promotora de Valencia propietaria de HC Records, Hypnotica Colectiva. Tras 5 años ofreciendo la cara más madura y exquisita de la bass music a través de eventos en distintos clubs valencianos y de su espacio radiofónico en Bassport FM, Low Syndicate da un paso más allá adentrándose en el mundo de la edición musical. Este EP supone una primera toma de contacto como antesala al lanzamiento en 2021 de su propio sello, Low Syndicate Audio.
'Valencia Manifest EP' pretende dejar constancia del gran talento de esta la ciudad de la costa este ibérica, pionera de las bajas frecuencias en España, y que durante la década de los 2000 fue considerada la capital española de este sonido.
El EP compila 5 cortes procedentes de productores de Valencia que han formado parte del line up de eventos del sindicato, y que representan gran parte de los distintos estilos que suelen escucharse en sus fiestas, tales como son el drum & bass, el jungle, el juke o el halftime.
El legendario Mooncat, uno de los productores españoles más veteranos y reconocidos a nivel internacional, es el encargado de abrir el EP con 'Dubstone'. Un tema en el que lleva su representativo sonido hedonista de influencias jamaicanas a tesituras más sobrias, fusionando atmósferas propias del
reggae y el dub con la potencia de los sonidos característicos del rolling de última generación.
El dúo No Human Sound, uno de los valores en alza de la escena valenciana de la última década, nos invita a un viaje cósmico a la par que desgarador con 'Subversive'. Rompiendo las reglas de forma magistral nos llevan ritmicamente desde las profundicades de la jungla de la primera parte del tema
directamente al espacio exterior, a través de un segundo drop en clave de puro drum & bass.
Bajando los BPM hasta 160 pero no la intensidad, el gaditano afincado en la capital del Turia, Rootless, inyecta con 'Dancefloor' una importante dosis de energía. Sonido Juke directamente traído desde los suburbios para hacer que tus pies se muevan sin tregua, con una poderosa influencia del footwork de Chicago y el techno de Detroit, pero con toda la esencia del mar Mediterráneo.
La nota más tecnológia del EP la pone Delah, joven productor de raíces británicas nacido en España, y con algún tema editado anteriormente bajo el pseudónimo de Keos. Minimalismo y oscuridad a partes iguales en este combativo 'Riot Thing', en el que el techfunk es el principal hilo conductor para la insurreción.
El EP lo cierran, estrenándose en el mundo de la producción, los veteranos camaradas de la directiva del sindicato Finger, Brozak, y a las voces, Sebzero. A170 BPMs, 'No Flags' evoluciona desde ritmos pesados en clave de halftime de su primera parte a un segundo drop invadido por contundentes
amen breaks, todo ello conducido por densas lineas de bajo y un explícito mensaje revolucionario.
